Fire Opals

Welcome to the new blog!
Today I am going to tell you about the fire opal and my story with it. Perhaps in this blog you will find hints of things to come.
When I was about 20 years old, I first encountered this living stone. Its color, its fire, its unique brilliance and energy felt like something unattainable.
Years went by and some friends from Tulum brought me these opals. It was a dream come true. I made a collection of rings, and in the process of making jewelry with silver and opal we discovered that opal has to be worked in water. That's when a mystery began that I didn't solve for a long time. In water, they seemed to lose their fire, the energy was dulled.
More time passed and a friend came to me for help with a Mexican opal ring that no longer brought her happiness. In fact, the opal was kind of grey, without that fire and energy that so mesmerized me. At that moment I remembered the experience I had with opals and water, and it occurred to me that maybe it was something similar. Talking more with my friend, I discovered that the ring spent a lot of time in hot water, which obviously affects the opal. It changes it. Purely intuitively, I placed it inside an amethyst geode, a living stone that helps cleanse and rehabilitate. The opal was there for quite a while.
When I turned my attention to this opal again, I was amazed. It was another stone, full of that fire, those striking and unique colors. Such a drastic transformation that led me to learn more. Opals help creativity, which is a wonderful energy that flows within us. It is so necessary for this stone as well. Contact with our skin and our energy makes it shine, which turns this opal into a fire opal. The opal returns that energy to us in creativity, happiness, and more. Maybe I will tell you more about opals and their properties soon.
Fire opals are even more special to me because they remind me of dragons, mythical creatures of power, love and wisdom that I connect with on the level of the love I feel for them. To me, opals are their eyes, watching over me and caring for me. I also see them as a beginning, a dragon egg. It is truly a wonder. Maybe this will inspire something good in my own creativity and my art, silver jewelry and living stones.
Hope to see you soon! Don't forget to keep up to date with jewelry news on our social media.
With love,
