Amber and You
This Wednesday, April 3, 2024, I am going to talk to you about Amber, its creation, its energy, benefits and its effect on our spiritual and physical body.
Amber is a beautiful stone because it is not a mineral, it is a fossilized resin from ancient trees that collect wisdom from the earth. That is why amber is so wonderful, it is part of many cultures, beliefs, as well as decoration and spiritual tools.
Trees that bear cone-shaped seeds, such as pines, suffer a wound, and like blood, the resin flows to protect the tree from diseases and pests by trapping them in its sticky, inescapable consistency. It can trap everything from insects, air bubbles, and plant material such as moss, leaves, and even soil.
In its slow and purposeful path this tool of the trees can fall to the ground where it is buried, kept for geological processes to form it into the amber we know.
The process is slow, it is formed over millions of years in which it collects the same energy from the earth that gives life to so many wonders of the world. Different living beings pass over it leaving their mark, the cycle of life helps it to form not only physically but also energetically.

This is what makes amber so special. The environment changes its chemical components, depending on what happens around it and also contributes to its fire-colored transparency, making each one unique. Inside it are insects, plants and even animals perfectly protected and contained in the amber. These same organisms remain inside it, preserved in history forever.
For this reason, it has been a great tool to understand ancient organisms, the evolution of life and the past of our home, planet Earth.
Many used it as protection and decoration for statues.
Its most notable historical influence is the Amber Road that connects Northern Europe to the Mediterranean. Highly valued by the Romans and Greeks as they saw it as a link to the gods. Possibly comparing it to ichor, the blood of the gods. Also seen as a possible curative, and food of those same gods, ambrosia. What's more, the Greeks made famous the electrical property that rubbing amber produces, creating static. They called it "elektron" .
Do you realize the magic of amber?
In modern times, besides being appreciated for its appearance and history, it is used in art, such as in my jewelry where I use silver to highlight the fire within this precious stone. I could talk about amber endlessly but there is so much more to tell you. I want to tell you about what amber does for us, when we are skin to stone.
Let's start by giving a brief introduction to the chakras and then delve into how this wonder of nature helps us in different ways to be our best version. And what are chakras?
Chakras are energy centers connected to our physical body. The name chakra in Sanskrit translates to a spinning circle. In other words, they are links between the physical body and our spirit. Each chakra corresponds to different glands and physical organs. They run along the spine, linking the mind, our consciousness and our representations in this physical dimension in which we live.
Under this belief we can link our physical well-being to the chakras and use them as a tool for spiritual, mental and physical health.
Now I want to talk to you about each chakra:
-
The first chakra - Muladhara, the root chakra. Our support to the earth, to our roots, its element is the earth itself, its color is red and its planets are Earth and Saturn. It is located in the perineum and its corresponding glands are the adrenals. Its affirmation is I am.

-
The second chakra - Svadhishthana, is in our lumbar area of the body. It works with the sweetness, the cleansing, running water, its orange color like a sunset. Its celestial body is the moon, and it is in tandem with the gonads. Its affirmation is I feel.
-
The third chakra is Manipura, the Solar Plexus, in our abdomen, which we will discuss in more depth, and its connection to amber. This is the chakra of fire, working with the sun itself, and Mars, its bright yellow color. Connected to our pancreas and adrenals. It is clear why amber, with its sundrop appearance, is associated with this chakra. Its affirmation is I do.
-
The fourth chakra is Anahata, the heart chakra, which works to unblock our being. It is located in our chest, works with air, and its color is green and pink. Its planet is Venus and it is connected to the thymus. Its affirmation is, I love.
-
The fifth chakra is Vishuddha, it is in the throat and purifies your being. It works with sound and ether, its color is as such, beyond the clouds of the sky, a light blue. Its planet is Mercury and it is linked to the thyroid. Its affirmation is I speak.
-
The sixth chakra is Ajna, the third eye. This chakra is concentrated in your forehead, works with light and helps you see what is not visible with your physical eyes. Its color is indigo, its planets are Jupiter and Neptune and it works with the pineal glands. Its affirmation is I see.
-
The seventh chakra is the Sahasrara, which is the crown of the head. This chakra is the chakra of thought, its planet is Uranus, its color is violet and it is connected to the pituitary glands. Its affirmation is I understand.
Now yes!
Amber is related to the Solar Plexus, our abdominal chakra, Manipura.Well, to start off, let me tell you that the Solar Plexus is influential in our ego and our digestion. This makes sense since it is specifically in our abdomen. Amber is fire in solid form, sometimes what you need to help your chakra with your inner power, to give you that push you need to keep going.
The ego itself is neither good nor bad, just like this chakra. It can lead us to be powerful and to know our inner worth, but it can also give strength to more chaotic traits such as envy and aggression.
Amber, as you know, is something created with patience, gathering wisdom through years and years of formation until it reaches its final form. Given this, it is natural to assume that the energy of amber is stable, always ready to help balance our visceral reactions. As much as it can calm the flames that burn and destroy like uncontrolled rage, it can also breathe life into the flames of our confidence and our ability to handle different situations in a stable manner with our emotions in harmony.
Apart from this, the solar plexus, as we already know, deals with our digestion.
Do you ever remember having a feeling that made your stomach turn? Well, that's your Solar Plexus telling you something that your physical body doesn't yet understand.
Sometimes we ignore these feelings because we don't understand where they come from and why. Sometimes this manifests itself in stomach discomfort, caused by anxiety. This is where amber comes in.
With its stable energy and ability to allow the right flames of your being to grow, your self-esteem and your self-confidence will allow you to trust your instincts more.

You may be wondering, how do I know that amber works for me? In two weeks, in my next blog, I will tell you how to feel your energy, and how to capture the energy around you. I invite you to the store, so I can show you how to feel how the energy flows between you and these stones that I work with so lovingly.
See you next time!
I send you lots of light and health.
